Admin Dashboard — for new staff
The Admin Dashboard at /adminapp/dashboard/ is staff-only. If you are looking for help using OrbitingFox as a normal account, you want the user guides at /help/ instead — nothing on this page is visible to ordinary users.
If you have just been given staff access
- Open the dashboard and read the Setup Checklist banner at the top. While it is amber, something required has not been configured yet.
- Use the search box rather than browsing. Typing a few letters of a tool's name is much faster than opening sections one at a time.
- Tools are grouped by what you are trying to achieve — apps, AI, customers and billing, day-to-day operations, design, enterprise/IoT, files, and low-level system tools.
Two cautions
System & Diagnostics contains Django's raw admin panel, which edits the database directly with none of the safety checks the normal pages apply. Avoid it unless you have been told to use it.
Settings here apply to every user on the platform, not just to you. If you are unsure what a control does, each section has an i button explaining it, and most pages carry their own "How this works" panel near the bottom.
