Finding & Organizing Your Winks — the Wink Library
Where are all my Winks?
The Wink Library at /blinks/portal/ shows
every Wink you've ever caught — reachable from the sidebar
(“Wink Library”), the Main Hub's Winks section (“Open
Library”), and the Catch-a-Wink page's top button. The number badge is
your true total.
Finding things
- Search looks through every Wink's title, text, and BLK-code — not just the page you're on.
- Filters: type (tasks, reminders, events, appointments, notes), category (including Uncategorized), and status (open / done / overdue). Category chips on any Wink are clickable filters too.
- Sort by newest, oldest, title, category, or recently updated. Filters stay applied while you page through results.
- Views: switch List / Grid / Compact — your choice is remembered. Choose 25 / 50 / 100 Winks per page, or all on one page, and download your Winks (all, filtered, or selected) as CSV or PDF.
Fast catch vs a normal Wink
The dashed quick-catch strip at the top of the Library saves a Wink from just its title — it wears a ⚡ lightning mark meaning “caught fast, not shaped yet”. Open it and save once (add a category, dates, files…) and the mark disappears. A normal Wink is created on the Catch-a-Wink page with the full form. Both pages use the SAME icons for every Wink: ⚡ fast-caught, Task / Reminder / Event / Finance badges, and 📎 when it has images or voice notes.
Deleting is safe now
Every delete — single or bulk, from any page — moves Winks to the
Recycle Bin (/blinks/recycle-bin/) where they can
be restored for 30 days. Nothing is permanently removed unless you purge it
or the 30 days pass.
Deleting a category
Deleting a category asks you to choose one of two modes, and shows exactly what's inside first (Winks, voice notes, images, attached files):
- Delete the category only — all its Winks stay in your Library and become Uncategorized.
- Delete the category AND its Winks — the Winks (with
their voice notes and files) move to the Recycle Bin. You must type
DELETEand confirm again. Important: because the category no longer exists, any Wink you restore later comes back as Uncategorized.
Your Winks feed your AI
OrbitPilot reads your Winks (including task notes, voice transcripts, and finance facts in readable form) when its memory is built — the more you catch and shape, the smarter your answers get.
Task priority at a glance (2026-08)
In the Wink Library and dashboard lists, a task's badge now shows its priority number next to the word Task (e.g. Task · 65) whenever a priority was set on the Wink form. The badge colour shifts with urgency — calm blue for low numbers through to red for 81+ — so the hottest tasks stand out while scanning. Tasks with no priority keep the plain badge. Voice-transcript boxes on Wink pages also gained a soft blue tint so they read as distinct from the rest of the card.
