Using Courses — Learner & Instructor Guide
For Learners
Finding Courses
Visit Courses → Browse Public to see all published courses. Use the search bar to find by keyword, filter by Free/Paid, and sort by Newest, Most Popular, or Highest Rated.
Enrolling
- Free course: Click "Enroll for Free" — instant access.
- Paid course: Click "Buy Now" → Stripe Checkout → enter card details → enrolled after payment.
Learning
- Click a lesson title to open the lesson viewer
- After reading/watching, click "Mark as Complete"
- Your progress bar on the course page updates automatically
- Use ← Prev / Next → buttons in the lesson sidebar to navigate
Completion Certificate
After all lessons are marked complete, a "Download Certificate" button appears on the course page. Click it to open your printable HTML certificate. Use your browser's Print → Save as PDF to save it.
Rating a Course
Once enrolled, scroll to the bottom of the course page to leave a star rating (1–5) and optional review. You can update your review anytime.
For Instructors
Creating a Course
- Go to Courses Dashboard → + New Course
- Set title, description, visibility (Private / Link / Public), price, and cover image
- Add modules and lessons from the course detail page
- Each lesson automatically gets a CMS page — click "Edit Content" inside the lesson viewer to add blocks
- Set visibility to Public when ready for students to find it
Monetizing a Course
- Set Price to a non-zero value (e.g., 29.99) when creating/editing the course
- Students will see a "Buy Now" button and go through Stripe Checkout
- You see earnings on your Courses Dashboard and detailed revenue in Analytics
Instructor Analytics
Click "Analytics" on any of your courses to see: total students enrolled, completion rate, revenue, per-lesson completion bars, and the full student roster.
