Using Multiple Accounts (Switch / Add Account)
One person, several accounts
You can keep more than one OrbitingFox account — for example a personal account and one for your business — and switch between them in two taps, without logging out and back in.
Where
Account menu → Switch / Add Account, or directly at
/user/accounts/.
Adding an account
- On the Your accounts page, find Add another account.
- Enter that account's username and password — exactly like a normal sign-in. (This is what keeps it safe: only someone who can log into an account can link it.)
- Done — the two accounts are now linked, and you're switched into the one you just added. Don't have a second account yet? Use Create new account instead.
Switching
Every linked account appears as a card with a Switch button. One click and you're using that account — no password needed, because you already proved ownership when you linked it.
Linked accounts act as one group: if you link four accounts, then no matter which of the four you're currently using, the page always shows the other three and lets you switch straight to any of them. Removing an account detaches it from the whole group at once.
Removing a link
Click Remove on an account's card. The link is severed in both directions immediately; re-adding it later requires the password again. Removing a link never deletes the account itself.
Good to know
- There's a limit on how many accounts can be linked together (set by the site admin, usually around 5).
- This feature can depend on your plan — if your plan doesn't include it, the page will say so.
- Each account keeps its own separate data, plan, and settings. Switching changes who you're signed in as; nothing is shared between accounts.
- Anyone with access to your open browser session could switch between your linked accounts — treat linked accounts as one security unit, and don't link accounts on a shared computer.
