New-visitor homepage & shared OrbitPilot window

Your first visit — the new-visitor homepage (2026-07-28)

People who aren't signed in now get a clean, simple first page and the same OrbitPilot chat window that registered members use.

  • One shared window. Clicking the spacecraft's nose, the “Ask OrbitPilot” link in the top bar, or the 🪐 button all open the same chat window. When you create an account, nothing changes — you keep the exact same window (now aware of your own goals & Winks).
  • A friendly hello. A few seconds after you land on the home page, the 🪐 button gives a little wave and a bubble asks if you need help; if you don't respond it opens on its own with a short greeting. It only does this once.
  • Simpler first page. The old “Catch a Wink” try box and the busy feature grid are gone. The page now shows the spacecraft, one short line about OrbitingFox, and two buttons: Ask OrbitPilot and Create free account. Plans and “How it works” moved to the footer and the Explore menu to keep the first page uncluttered.
  • Free preview. Guests can ask a few questions; at the limit a “Create your free account” card appears so you can keep chatting.
